hope you are all doing fabulously well in your corners of the globe. it's launching time here in torontooo!!!!!
i just returned from a lovely east coast mini-tour with miss sarah burton - we hit halifax, yarmouth, fredericton, st andrews...and back to halifax. a week and a half filled with full band fun, dancing crowds, east coast hospitality and via rails. the kind souls we met out on the east were a delight. i can't wait to go back! ...already mustering another eastern escape :) (new photos have been posted on all of my sites - check 'em out!)
...until then, though - there's a new album/DVD to launch!
you have been patient in waiting on more details of the recordings and the release date, and you have just generally been wonderful in sending me kind words and support - and i appreciate it so much. sooo, i've decided to let you in on a little sneak-peak! a song from the DVD is available for download on my site...which means you can watch anytime ;) check out the link below.

the album/DVD was filmed and recorded at notable sing sing studios in melbourne australia. "Here in the Shade - A Night at Sing Sing" features 8 fresh tracks, solo live in the studio. the bundle includes an audio disc, dvd, lyric and picture booklet, as well as a behind the scenes reel and photo gallery. north american and australian DVD formats are both available at www.fayeblais.com.

the album will be launched across the country on summer tour (w/ australian female folk trio "Jungal") over august/september 2010. australian, new Zealand and taiwan tour dates to come!!!!!
