i wanted to squeeze in a little cheery wish before december ends and another year of touring, writing, record-releasing and music mingling begins. three hundred and sixty five more mysteries to come...
since the fall shows tour, i’ve been crafting away in my new nest, writing, connecting, cooking, relaxing, bundling to beat the cold and wrapping things up for the first xmas home in four years - a break!…bliss.
but the itch is back! i have been sitting on some big news here – and am ready to set it freeee!!

well, i’ve been teasing you all long enough – my new album/dvd “here in the shade – a night at sing sing” is here!! it arrived on my doorstep just in time for xmas, all the way from australia. the album was filmed and recorded in melbourne, at the notable sing sing studios. it features 8 live solo performances, a behind the scenes reel and a picture gallery. the audio cd/dvd bundle comes also comes with a lyric/picture booklet!
though the word is out, the official release will not launch until this spring – 2010. which means, you’re in the know! hehe…if you want to get your hot little hands on the new material before the rest, hop onto my wesbsite for an early bird copy –www.fayeblais.com.
winter west coast “cherry pickin’” tour!
that’s right, it’s tourin’ time again. i know it’s only been a month, but there’s something about the road that keeps me on it….too many of you to see and sing to in this fine land!
i will be touring with the lovely sarah burton (montreal – www.sarahburton.ca) and fabulous miss jacquie b (edmonton – www.jesseandjacquie.com), who will be supporting our individual sets on vocals, accordion and percussion. “a triple cherry sundae in song”, we like to call ourselves. the tour will kick off in toronto at c’est what on january 7th and take us all the way to l.a. and back. what better way to beat the heat than the hot hot sun, hunh!? i just didn’t think my winterized self could hack a full first season. quelle excuse!
